Orange Ball Lessons for Younger Children
Looking for the next step in your child’s tennis journey? Our Orange Ball tennis lessons at Aceplay Tennis are designed for children aged 7 to 10 years old who have already gained some tennis experience and are ready to improve their skills in a fun and engaging environment. But what are orange ball tennis lessons? Orange tennis balls are slightly slower and lower bouncing than regular balls, making them ideal for younger players learning proper technique. This format helps children:
- Build confidence
- Rally more consistently
- Learn the rules and tactics of real tennis play
So, who is this course for? This class is perfect for children aged 7–10 who have already received some tennis coaching, either in:
- Group lessons
- Private coaching sessions
- School-based tennis activities
Players in this class will already be familiar with:
- Basic tennis techniques: forehands, backhands, volleys, and serves
- Footwork and court positioning
- Tennis drills and small-sided games
But, if your child is slightly younger or older but plays to this standard, we are happy to assess and include them.
What to Expect in the Course. Each session combines:
- Fun warm-up drills
- Skill-based games and challenges
- Technical coaching
- Light competitive play to build match confidence
