Green Ball Tennis Lessons
Our Green Ball tennis lessons are the perfect next step for children aged 9 to 13 who already have a solid foundation in tennis and are ready to progress their skills in a fun, structured environment. Green tennis balls bounce higher and travel faster than orange balls, giving children the feel of full tennis while still allowing for controlled rallies. These lessons:
- Prepare players for full-court tennis
- Improve rally consistency and serve technique
- Introduce more tactical and competitive play
This course is suitable for:
- Children aged 9–13 years old
- Players who haveprevious tennis experience (group or private coaching)
- Children with a solid grasp of:
- Groundstrokes (forehand and backhand)
- Spin, volleys, and serving
- Footwork and positioning
- Tactical understanding (e.g., where to stand, how to score)
But if your child is slightly younger or older but plays to this level, we’re happy to assess them for this group.
What will your child learn? Each lesson blends:
- Fun, skill-based drills
- Technique development
- Advanced footwork training
- Game-based learning and point play
- Tactical guidance from our experienced tennis coaches
Players in this class will serve, rally, and play out points while receiving real-time coaching and feedback.
Where and When? Aceplay tennis class run weekly during Barnet school term times.
