Advanced Green Ball Tennis Coaching
Is your child ready for the final step before full-ball tennis?
Our Advanced Green Ball Tennis Coaching at AcePlay Tennis is designed for children aged 10 to 12 who have developed strong Green Ball skills and are ready to refine their technique, improve their tactical understanding, and prepare for the transition to full yellow-ball tennis.
But what is Advanced Green Ball Tennis?
Advanced Green Ball uses lower-compression green tennis balls on a full-sized court, giving players the ideal environment to develop consistency, confidence and match-play skills before progressing to the full game. This stage focuses on refining technique while introducing more advanced tactics and decision-making.
This programme helps children:
- Develop consistent and controlled groundstrokes
- Improve serving, returning and net play
- Build tactical awareness and point construction
- Increase confidence in competitive match play
- Prepare for the transition to Yellow Ball Tennis
So, who is this course for?
This class is perfect for children aged 10–12 who have completed Green Ball coaching or have equivalent playing experience through:
- Green Ball coaching programmes
- Group tennis lessons
- Private coaching
- School or club tennis
Players joining this class will already be confident with:
- Forehands, backhands, volleys and serves
- Rallying consistently on a full-sized court
- Footwork and court positioning
- Tennis scoring and match play
- Basic tactical awareness
If your child is slightly younger or older but plays to this standard, we’re happy to assess them and recommend the most appropriate group.
What to Expect in the Course
Each session combines:
- Dynamic warm-up activities
- Technical coaching and stroke refinement
- Advanced movement and footwork training
- Tactical drills and point construction
- Competitive match-play scenarios
- Individual coaching and performance feedback
Our goal is to help every player develop the technical, tactical and mental skills needed to transition confidently to Yellow Ball Tennis while continuing to enjoy the game and fulfil their potential.
